Iran posts modest two-month steel output growth
Iranian semi-finished and finished steel output grew modestly in the first two months of the Iranian year, or 20 March-20 May 2024, versus the same period last year, Kallanish notes.
Through 20 May, semi-finished and finished steel production increased year-on-year by 1.6% to 6.42 million tonnes and by 2.6% to 4.04mt respectively. This is according to an Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) report on its online Chilan portal.
