Iran increases seven-month steel output
Iranian steelmakers increased semi-finished steel production 5% on-year in the seven months through 22 October to 15.17 million tonnes, Kallanish learns from the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (Imidro).
Finished steel output rose 7% in the period to 11.75mt.
Direct reduced iron production also grew 7% to 16.25mt.
