Iran boosts iron and steel exports
Iranian exports of iron and steel products increased significantly during the first two months of the Iranian calendar year (21 March-21 May 2023). Last year, an export duty was implemented in an attempt to increase the supply in the domestic market to reduce domestic offers, which unfortunately diminished Iranian export volumes, according to an Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) note posted on its online Chilan portal.
