Iran drives Middle Eastern July steel output decline
Driven by Iran’s energy supply crunch, Middle Eastern countries' combined July crude steel output shrank 26.6% or 1.13 million tonnes versus June and 3.9% or 128,000t on-year to 3.13mt.
However, January-July crude steel production grew 2.3% on-year to 26.18mt, Kallanish notes.
