Iran drives Mid-East’s June crude steel output growth
Due to electricity curtailments, Iran's June crude steel output was down 3% on May but was up 17.4% on-year to 3.15 million tonnes, Kallanish notes.
This accounted for 74.9% of Middle East region – combined Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Iran – output that month, according to the latest worldsteel data.
