Iran consumption continues growth despite weak economy

Iranian finished steel apparent consumption rose 20% on-year in the ten months through 19 January to 15.32 million tonnes, the Iranian Steel Producers’ Association (ISPA) says on its online Chilan portal. This is a slight slowdown from 21% growth after nine months. Flat steel use grew 13%.
