Iran concentrate deliveries fall despite higher output
Nine major Iranian miners decreased merchant iron ore concentrate shipments -5% on-year in the month through 21 September to 1.54 million tonnes, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (Imidro).
In the six months through 21 September shipments fell -12% on-year to 8.9mt.
Concentrate production at these miners rose 6% in the one month to 4.2mt and grew 4% in the six months to 24.6mt (see Kallanish passim).
Gol Gohar was the largest six-month producer with 8.11mt, followed by Chadormalu with 5.54mt, Middle East Mines and Mineral Industry Development (Midhco) with 3.37mt, Gohar Zamin with 2.21mt and Central Iron Ore with 2.07mt.
Merchant run-of-mine ore output at major miners, meanwhile, fell -49% in the six months to 640,928t.
