Iran billet exports slump, steel output growth continues
Iranian steel exports slumped -30% on-year in the six months through 21 September, or first half of Iran’s calendar year, to 3.53 million tonnes, says the Iranian Steel Producers’ Association (ISPA). Billet exports were particularly affected in September. This is despite a 10% rise in crude steel output to 14.39mt.
