Iranian six-month exports surge despite reduced production
Iran achieved staggering steel export volumes in the first half of the Iranian calendar year, or six months through 22 September, despite decreased production and apparent steel consumption in the country, according to Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA) data.
The country recorded 45% on-year growth in semi-finished and long steel exports to 5.11 million tonnes in the six months, Kallanish notes.
