Interpipe production increases, revenue slides in first quarter
Ukrainian pipe and railway products manufacturer Interpipe increased most production in the first quarter despite the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The company’s steel production was higher by 13% on-year to 184,000 tonnes, Kallanish notes. Pipe output rose by 12% to 105,000t, but railway products fell by 13% to 20,000t. Product sales in Q1 fell by 23% to 108,000t.
