Interpipe favours billet, railway sales over pipe
Ukrainian pipemaker Interpipe decreased crude steel production in first half of the year, the company says. The volume amounted to 393,200 tonnes, down by -17.2% on-year, Kallanish notes. Output of pipe fell by -31.6% to 233,600t.
However, the enterprise increased production of railway products in January-June by 4.1% on-year to 101,800t.
In June alone the company produced 60,300t of crude steel, 12,200t of railway products and 39,400t of pipe.
