Indonesia Dexin begins pellet plant construction

PT Dexin Steel Indonesia, a joint venture between China’s Delong Group and Tsingshan, has begun construction of an iron ore pellet plant, as part of the steelworks’ first-phase expansion. The project will house two production lines with 1.5 million tonnes/year of pellet capacity, Kallanish notes. Dexin expects to increase its coke and iron capacity to 3m t/y and 6m t/y respectively at the end of October, once the plant is commissioned.
