Indonesia's Dexin starts iron production
Following ignition at the end of February this year, the No.1 blast furnace at Dexin Steel in Indonesia successfully commenced iron production on the afternoon of 29 March, Kallanish notes.
The 1,780-cubic-metre blast furnace will supply a 120-tonne converter with 1.35 million tonnes/year of crude steel capacity. The steelmaking and continuous casting facilities will also be put into production in the next few days. The plant overall has 3.5m t/y of plan…
