India’s NMDC targets doubling of iron ore capacity
NMDC, India's largest iron-ore miner, is set to double its production capacity to 100 million tonnes/year by 2030-31, supported by a substantial capital expenditure (capex) of INR 50,000 crore ($600 million).
This investment will enhance existing mines, acquire new ones, permit deeper drilling, and expand facilities, including slurry pipelines and conveyor belts, notes Kallanish.
