India steel minister approves major iron ore mine
India’s newly appointed steel minister, H D Kumaraswamy, has approved KIOCL to commence operations at the Devadari Iron Ore Mine in Ballari district, Karnataka. The mine has been inactive since 2006, notes Kallanish.
This marks Kumaraswamy's first official act as steel minister.
