India's ferrous scrap imports drop for third month
India's ferrous scrap imports continued to decline for the third consecutive month in March 2024, totalling 0.68 million tonnes.
This marks a 26% decrease compared to February 2024, as reported by Cybex data shared with Kallanish.
The decline in imports is due to subdued steel demand and ample domestic scrap availability, unlike the usual peak demand period from January to March.
