India’s coking coal imports from Russia soar
India, the world's leading importer of coking coal, has significantly increased its imports of this coal from Russia so far in 2024.
Between January to May 2024, India imported approximately 3.17 million tonnes of coking coal from Russia, a significant increase compared to almost no imports during the same period last year, as per vessel lineup data obtained by Kallanish.
