India’s 2022 iron ore exports plunge amid duties
Amid the imposition of export duties on iron ore exports from May to November 2022, Indian iron exports plunged 18.37% on-year to 16.18 million tonnes in 2022 against 19.83mt last year. Iron ore imports also plummeted 61.72% to 2.10mt during the period, Kallanish notes from Indian commerce ministry provisional data.
