Indian steel output rises in fiscal first quarter
Indian crude steel production rose 61% on-year to 27.8 million tonnes in the fiscal first quarter ended through June 2021 against 17.26mt in last year. The nation produced 9.36mt crude steel in June 2021.
State-run SAIL production rose 52.4% on-year to 3.77mt in Q1 2022, the company produced 4.13mt hot metal during the period. Sales increased 65.5% on-year to 3.77mt during the period Kallanish notes.
