Indian rebar prices diverge between primary, secondary markets
Indian domestic rebar prices, which had been on an upward trend since the beginning of April, have experienced a decline over the past week, especially in the secondary market.
This reversal in prices is majorly due to buyers retreating after making restocking purchases, Kallanish notes.
Rebar prices have come down by INR 500-1,000/tonne ($6-12) and are heard in the range of INR 50,500-52,500/t ($605-628) ex-yard basis across different cities.
