Indian primary mills slash rebar twice in fortnight
Indian primary steel producers have slashed rebar prices twice in the last 15 days, amounting to a cumulative reduction of INR 1,700-2,000/tonne ($20-24) across various brands and locations. Compared to last month, values are down INR 2,000-22,00/t ($25-26), notes Kallanish.
Current prices for 12-32mm, Fe 550D grade rebar now stand at INR 56,500-57,000/t ($670-680), excluding sales tax.
