Indian prices remain elevated, end-users seek government intervention
Indian steel prices should remain elevated in the March quarter, with hot rolled coil prices up INR 7,000-8,500/tonne ($96-116) on-quarter, says Crisil. Domestic demand momentum will continue after growth surged since November, meaning demand in the fiscal year through March 2021 (FY21) will decline only -9-11% on-year versus the previous forecast of -17-20%.
