Automotive bottlenecks exacerbate monsoon impact on India demand
Indian crude steel production grew 8% on-year to 9.85 million tonnes in August, against 9.1mt last year, according to worldsteel data. The nation’s direct reduced iron output meanwhile increased marginally, by 2% to 3.2mt, against 3.15mt a year earlier.
