Ilyich’s 2021 output increases, eyes exports to UK
Metinvest’s Ilyich steelworks increased crude steel production in 2021, Kallanish notes. Output amounted to 4.26 million tonnes, up by 4.6% on-year. Pig iron production increased by 8.3% to 5.06mt, while production of rolled products was more by 11.6% to 4.1mt.
In December alone, the plant produced about 360,000t of crude steel, 420,000t of pig iron and 340,000t of rolled products.
