Ilyich increases production with hot strip mill upgrade
Metinvest’s Ilyich steelworks issued an acceptance to Primetals for the upgrade of its 1,700 mm hot strip mill (HSM 1700).
Production capacity will grow from 1.36 to 2.5 million tonnes/year, the technology supplier tells Kallanish. The overhaul began in May.
