Ilyich continues to increase steel, pig iron output
Metinvest’s Ilyich steelworks increased crude steel production in January-May, Kallanish notes.
Output amounted to 1.75 million tonnes, up by 12.3% on-year. Pig iron production increased by 8.6% to 1.96mt, while production of rolled products was more by 22.1% to 1.65mt.
In May alone, the plant produced about 330,000t of crude steel, 400,000t of pig iron and 310,000t of rolled products.
