Ilyich continues to increase steel, pig iron output
Metinvest’s Ilyich steelworks increased crude steel production in January-February, Kallanish notes.
Output amounted to 700,000 tonnes, up by 19% on-year. Pig iron production increased by 15.2% to 765,000t, while production of rolled products was more by 19% to 660,000t.
In February alone, the plant produced about 340,000t of crude steel, 410,000t of pig iron and 300,000t of rolled products.
