Ilyich continues to increase steel, pig iron output
Metinvest’s Ilyich steelworks increased crude steel production in January-March, Kallanish notes.
Output amounted to 1.07 million tonnes, up by 2.2% on-year. Pig iron production increased by 11.3% to 1.21mt, while production of rolled products was more by 15% to 1mt.
In March alone, the plant produced about 370,000t of crude steel, 450,000t of pig iron and 350,000t of rolled products.
