Icdas slashes domestic longs prices as scrap slumps
Turkish long steelmaker Icdas has reduced sharply its domestic rebar and wire rod prices, in line with the sharp drop in scrap import prices last week, Kallanish notes.
The scrap-based steelmaker's 12-32mm, 10mm, and 8mm diameter rebar is quoted at TRY 1,780/tonne ($467/t), TRY 1,790/t and TRY 1,800/t respectively, with effect from 30 January. This is down by TRY 140/t over prices in the previous, 16 January price list.
