Icdas slashes domestic longs prices
Turkish scrap-based long steelmaker Icdas has cut notably its domestic rebar and wire rod prices as scrap import prices have stabilized and the lira has appreciated over the past week, Kallanish notes.
Icdas' 12-32mm, 10mm, and 8mm diameter rebar is offered at TRY 1,940/tonne ($534/t), TRY 1,950/t and TRY 1,960/t respectively from 20 March, each down by TRY 70/t from the previous, 9 March price list. The move follows a gradual increase in prices by…
