Icdas reduces steeply domestic rebar prices
Turkish long steelmaker Icdas has slashed its prices of rebar sold in the domestic market by TRY 200/tonne ($69/t), reflecting the slowdown in demand and slump in scrap import offers, Kallanish notes.
The company’s 12-32mm, 10mm and 8mm diameter rebar is currently quoted at TRY 1,320/t ($454/t), TRY 1,330/t and TRY 1,340/t, respectively. The move follows three price reductions in May, the latest of which was by TRY 100/t at the end of the month.
