Icdas further reduces rebar prices on falling scrap
Turkish scrap-based long steelmaker Icdas has cut its domestic rebar prices again by TRY 100/tonne as scrap import prices declined further this week, Kallanish notes.
The 12-32mm, 10mm, and 8mm diameter rebar is quoted at TRY 1,680/tonne ($449/t), TRY 1,690/t and TRY 1,700/t, effective 2 February. The move follows a reduction by TRY 140/t as on 30 January, reflecting the scrap import price slump in the week ago.
