Icdas raises wire rod prices as lira depreciates
Turkish long steelmaker Icdas has raised its wire rod prices for the domestic market as the lira has weakened further against the US dollar, Kallanish notes.
The steelmaker's 5.5-8.5mm diameter wire rod (SAE 1006) is currently quoted at TRY 1,870-1,900/tonne ($558-567/t). This is up by TRY 40/t from its previous, 14-November, price list. All of Icdas’ prices are ex-works and include 18% VAT.
