Icdas raises domestic longs prices as lira weakens
Turkish long steelmaker Icdas has again raised its domestic rebar and wire rod prices on the back of depreciating lira and strong scrap prices, Kallanish notes.
The 12-32mm, 10mm, and 8mm diameter rebar prices of Icdas have increased each by TRY 30/tonne to TRY 1,930/t ($521/t), TRY 1,940/t and TRY 1,950/t respectively, with effect from 3 March. A day earlier, the scrap-based steelmaker raised its domestic prices by another TRY 30/t.
