Icdas keeps lifting domestic rebar prices
Turkish long steelmaker Icdas has again raised steeply its prices of rebar sold in the domestic market, despite the stabilisation of scrap import prices, Kallanish notes. The Turkish lira, meanwhile, weakened against the US dollar in the current week.
The company’s 12-32mm, 10mm and 8mm diameter rebar is currently offered at TRY 1,780/tonne ($610/t), TRY 1,790/t and TRY 1,800/t, up by TRY 60/t from its previous, end-April, price list.
