Icdas hikes domestic rebar on further lira weakening
Icdas has increased its rebar prices for the domestic market by TRY 50/tonne ($13/t), Kallanish learns from the Turkish steelmaker. This has been driven solely by a further weakening in the Turkish lira and does not reflect strengthened demand, local market participants say.
Icdas is now quoting 8mm, 10mm and 12mm diameter rebar at TRY 2,340/t, TRY 2,330/t and TRY 2,320/t ($614/t) respectively ex-works.
