Hyundai presses down Japanese scrap prices
Importing mills continue to press down Japanese scrap prices, Kallanish notes.
South Korea’s Hyundai Steel lowered its bid prices by JPY 1,500/tonne ($14/t) in its weekly purchase auction last Friday. Its bid prices for H2 and H1/H2 50:50 grades scrap were JPY 33,500/t and JPY 34,000/t respectively.
