HRC drives Hoa Phat's record January output
Vietnam's leading steelmaker, Hoa Phat Steel, saw its crude steel production reach a new record of more than 670,000 tonnes in January, up 67% over the same period last year.
Thanks to the commissioning of Hoa Phat's No.4 blast furnace at Dung Quat Iron and Steel Complex in January, the steelmaker says it has now lifted its steelmaking capacity to 8 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes.
