Hoa Phat reports slump in 2022 sales
Vietnamese steelmaker Hoa Phat Group on Friday announced a significant rebound of sales in December from November, but its annual sales still saw a 7% decline from 2021 due to many disruptions, Kallanish notes.
In December 2022, Hoa Phat achieved 558,000 tonnes of steel sales, up 26% on-month but down 30% on-year. HRC sales decreased by 20% on-year to just 144,000t, while sales of construction steel increased by 42% to 358,000t.
