Hoa Phat posts record-high quarterly profit
Vietnam’s leading steel producer, Hoa Phat Group, posted in the second quarter its highest-ever quarterly after-tax profit of VND 9.745 trillion ($424 million), trebling year-on-year, Kallanish notes. Revenue meanwhile reached VND 35.4 trillion.
Revenue in the first half of 2021 was boosted to VND 66.9 trillion, a surge of 67% y-o-y. Profit also trebled y-o-y to VND 16.7 trillion in H1.
