Higher prices, record exports elevate Ezz Steel earnings
Egypt’s Ezz Steel almost doubled its nine-month earnings on-year, with the help of higher steel prices and record exports. Domestic consumption of both rebar and flat steel is expected to witness healthy growth in 2022, the firm observes.
Nine-month consolidated revenue increased 85.4% on-year to EGP 49.05 billion ($3.12 billion). Longs sales comprise EGP 25.67 billion, flats sales accounted for EGP 22.74 billion and other revenue totalled EGP 639 million.
