Henan province's steel industry profits increase in 2018
According to the Finance Department of Henan province, the profits generated by its steel industry increased rapidly in 2018. Henan saw CNY 6.42 billion in profits, a year-on-year increase of 76.1%, Kallanish notes.
Data from the National Bureau of Statistics of China shows steelmakers in Henan produced 28.92 million tonnes of crude steel last year, down from 29.53mt in 2017.
