Hegang to replace 20mt of capacity
China’s Hebei Iron & Steel Group (Hegang) has revealed plans for a new 20 million tonnes/year coastal steelworks in Tangshan, according to the Tangshan Environment Protection Bureau. Capacity at other Hegang steelworks will be removed as the new plant comes on-stream, Kallanish notes.
