Hegang moves Xuangang to coastal base
China’s Hebei Iron & Steel Group (Hegang) plans to migrate its Xuangang subsidiary from Zhangjiakou city, according to an announcement seen by Kallanish.
Xuangang will permanently close a 450-cubic-metre blast furnace in 2016-2017. The surviving capacity will be moved to a coastal site in Tangshan. The coastal steelworks base will have 10 million tonnes/year crude steel capacity and expects to start production before the final dismantling of Xuanhua…
