Hebei removes 22.6m t/y steelmaking capacity
Hebei province had removed 20.22 million tonnes/year of iron and 22.61m t/y of steel capacity by the end of October, according to the director of the Hebei provincial Environmental Protection Administration Gao Jianming. Gao also revealed that so far this year 8.08m t/y of coking capacity had been cut, Kallanish notes.
