Hebei limits 2020 steel capacity to 200m t/y
China’s northern Hebei province will limit its steelmaking capacity to 200 million tonnes/year by 2020, according to a government work report delivered by governor Zhang Qingwei. By that time, the province hopes its steelmakers will be more concentrated and more efficient, Kallanish notes.
