Hebei launches sudden environmental inspections
Hebei has launched a round of sudden environmental inspections over 20 November to 4 December, according to the provincial Environmental Protection Administration. Most steelmaking areas in Hebei have been ordered to cut their blast furnace and coking plant output by around -50% and -30% respectively. Restricitons on sinter lines and shaft furnaces meanwhile are still ongoing through late November, Kallanish notes.
