Hebei to cut 6-8mt steel capacity in 2018
Hebei province has set 6 million-8 million tonnes/year of combined iron and steel capacity and 5m t/y of coke capacity elimination targets for 2018, according to the provincial Environmental Protection Administration. Over 2018-2020 it still needs to cut around 20m t/y of steel capacity, Kallanish notes.
