Hebei announces updated steel capacity replacement plans
Five Hebei steelmaking groups have announced their updated capacity replacement plans on the provincial government website on Monday. Last year Hebei announced 19 capacity replacement projects, but these had to be adjusted after Beijing decreed that replacement projects needed to reduce total capacity by another 20%, Kallanish notes.
