Hebei announces heavy induction furnace cuts
The Steel Industry Structural Adjustment Group in China’s Hebei province announced on 6 December that it aims to eliminate mislabelled steel, which is mainly produced by the induction furnace route, according to China Securities. Tangshan has conducted an induction furnace elimination campaign accordingly, restricting local steel supply and supporting the already-strong market, Kallanish notes.
